If you can configure and calibrate a joystick or yoke for X-Plane, you shouldn't have a problem with configuring and calibrating an RC controller the same way. It's just a matter of configuring X-Plane to assign the various axis' to what you want that axis to do. But I'm considering getting one from as I previously mentioned, and they assured me that it will work with Vista. It worked great with Windows XP, but not with Vista (unfortunately they are out of business, so no more support for it). The main thing, is to ensure that the interface itself will work with a.) Your operating system and b.) the transmitter itself. Well, my past experiences with running X-Plane and an RC USB interface have been good.
